One of the things that is tempting in any organization is to simply dictate what you want to see done, whether in terms of task or relationship.
I’m discovering more and more that the value of collaborating with others around certain relational or performance related issues is a far superior way to arrive at a better outcome.
There’s nothing particularly profound about that observation, I guess, and it’s a more costly way to go in terms of time invested and “sweat equity.”
However, countless times I’ve discovered that collaborate decisions have brought me to a much better place for long term ministry health and most importantly, great relationships!
