We All Do

It should come as no surprise that every person, believer or not, carries around some pressing issue or need in any given moment in their life.

Last evening, in my small group, it became very clear to me once again just how common some of life’s most difficult moments really are.

It’s at those times, in small group community, when people share their hearts and fears that you see the genius of God in placing us in a body of believers. With just 8 or 10 people in the room it’s not that difficult to open your heart and share what it is that you’re facing and know that those people will confidentially, but faithfully, pray and intercede on your behalf.

The reality is that next week that person may or not have that prayer answered. What’s even more likely is that someone else will have an equally pressing need that requires prayer and support.

That’s the truth about our lives. We all face issues and struggles that are better shared than carried alone.

Blessings,
Dr. Jay
