Do you ever wonder if God knows just where you’re supposed to be at a specific time? I think about that quite often.
Just yesterday, my wife, Carol, stopped to see a North Way member who was critically ill and not given much hope by her doctors. Carol went into the ICU area, closed the curtain and began to pray with Nancy for God’s perfect will for her life. It was in the next few minutes that Nancy passed from earth to heaven and from this life to the next.
It was both a difficult and joyful moment for Carol. It was difficult to be present at the time of someone’s passing, but also a moment of great rejoicing that she was able to be with Nancy when she went home to be with the Lord.
I believe the Lord wanted someone to be there with her in that moment and I believe that God arranged my wife’s schedule to precisely fit this important need.
Let’s be mindful that nothing that we do is “an accident”. The Lord is in control and if we’re listening to those little nudgings now and then, we’re very likely to see life full of divine appointments.
Blessings,
Dr. Jay
